Dirk Lehnhoff has been elected President of Cooperatives Europe, the European intersectoral cooperative organisation of which CECOP is a sectoral organisation, in the framework of the 2013 General Assembly in Istanbul. The Board of Cooperatives Europe now includes two members from the Industry and Service cooperative sector: Jacques Landriot, Vice President of the French Confederation of Worker Cooperatives (CG Scop) and Juan Antonio Pedreño, President of the Spanish Confederation of Worker Cooperatives (COCETA).
Mr. Lehnhoff is currently a member of the Board of Directors of DGRV, the apex organisation of the German cooperative movement and responsible for the International Relations Department of DGRV.
He has extensive international experience in cooperative legislation development and providing support to different countries such as the Russian Federation, Estonia, Serbia and South Africa.
