1. LOBBYING

  • Permanent watch of new potential items of concern in the EU agenda
  • General lobby on worker ownership (on the basis of World Declaration on Worker Cooperatives, approved by the ICA)
  • General lobby on cooperatives of artisans and small producers
  • Watch and communication on the items in national legislations that are clearly detrimental to the development of worker cooperatives, social cooperatives, participative enterprises and cooperative SMEs in general and in contradiction with the Communication on Cooperatives
  • SME , enterprise policy , labour policy etc
  • Development policies and structural funds

2. SOCIAL DIALOGUE - NEGOTIATION WITH TRADE UNIONS

  • Engage in talks on worker ownership with ETUC, in connection with work in progress on this issue with ICFTU at the CICOPA level, and on the basis of the World Declaration on Cooperative Worker Ownership
  • Survey on sectoral social dialogue across Europe

3. DATA COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS, INFORMATION AND NETWOR ANIMATION

  • Establish a news system on website, with collaboration of members
  • Pursue and deepen data collection and handling (database) on member organisations and their enterprise
  • Legislation analysis: Collect relevant legislation (on worker cooperative, social cooperatives, social enterprises, SALs) and do comparative analysis, and collaborate on SCE work by Cooperatives in Europe on the aspects linked to worker and social cooperatives - participation in ongoing projects on SCE
  • Deepen work on social enterprise
  • Deepen work on public procurement
  • Promotion of the World Declaration on Worker Cooperatives in the CECOP network
  • Identify and disseminate best practices from most experienced members
  • Open sectoral spaces on website, and news about trade fairs, in view of members’ promotion of activities between cooperatives
  • Promote worker ownership in partnership with universities

4. INSTITUTION-BUILDING

  • Contact groups and organisations in view of CECOP membership, e.g., Portugal, Ireland, Hungary, West Balkan region, Russia, Turkey etc
  • Contact federations of artisans’ cooperatives and cooperatives of SMEs in view of possible membership

5. DEVELOPMENT PROJECT WORK

  • Intervene in strategic projects as project leader
  • Intervene in projects as secondary partner or service provider
  • Survey projects in preparation within the CECOP membership, to check coherence with CECOP representative role

6. INSTITUTIONAL RELATIONS
