"Cooperate and Undertake, alternatives for employment in Europe"

Europe has to face with unemployment, and the Lisbon Strategy aims at full employment for 2010/2015; the Business and Employment Co-operatives (BECs) fit in perfectly with this line, and their concept - which was initiated in France - is worth to be developed in Europe. In this objective, Coopérer pour entreprendre organised a seminar in Brussels at the European Parliament next December.

It gathered the Business and Employment Co-operatives which are part of the network, their salaried entrepreneurs and their partners, national and European authorities, Members of Parliament, Members of the European Commission, ... and will promote the concept of BECs.

This seminar was organised within the framework of the European programme: EQUAL, and is carried out by the « Coopérer pour entreprendre » network, the AVISE (Agency for the Appreciation of Socio-Economic Initiatives) and the MACIF Foundation.

Participants: salaried entrepreneurs and managers of BECs, stakeholders, and representatives from European organisations and structures, European Union Trades, European co-operative and mutualist movements, representatives of organisations and networks for social economy in Europe, EuroMPs, European Commission, ...
